Dear Families and Caregivers,


WELCOME to our new families and students in grades 1-6!  We are so pleased to have you join our Blanchard Memorial School "Family”!  To make you feel more comfortable on the first day of school after a long period out of school, we invite you to our "New Student Orientation” scheduled for:  

                

THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, 2026

12:00-1:00 PM for grades 1-6

493 Massachusetts Ave, Boxborough, MA 01719

 

Activities planned for the orientation include:

  • A tour of the Blanchard School (Scavenger Hunt style!).

  • An opportunity to meet other new students.

  • A chance to ask questions.


The Acton-Boxborough Regional School District uses the online Powerschool Parent Portal System which allows you to update important emergency contact and health information for your child and view bus and classroom assignments. You should have received your Powerschool user name and password. If you have not already done so, please login or create a new account. This will allow you to fill out your emergency card information, as well as view your child’s teacher and classmates. If you have not received this information, please contact the office. 


When you fill out your student’s emergency card information on the Parent Portal, please be sure to indicate whether you grant permission for the school nurse to treat your child and click submit. Also, if your student is planning on attending the Blanchard Extended Day Program, "before or after school,” please contact Susan Lydon at 978-264-4700 Ext. 12104 or at slydon@abschools.org. Here is the Extended Day Registration Link.  You can access information about our Lunch Program and Financial Assistance through the district website here.


The Health Office is requesting that the parents/guardians of all new students complete a Health Screening Form. To complete the New Student Health Screening Form, please log into the parent portal and click on the Forms icon in the left sidebar.


Please note the hours your child will be attending school as a full-time student:


Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

8:50 AM to 3:20 PM

 

Wednesdays (Early Release Days)

8:50 AM to 12:50 PM
